Work Begins At ICP Networks

ICP Networks Solar Panels Installed

Builders have begun work transforming ICP Networks new home into a space age eco-friendly headquarters.

The South Manchester unit was transformed almost overnight with the installation of the largest solar panelled installation in the North West.

The 50kWp system consists of 200 solar panels fitted to the roof which will produce TWICE the amount of energy required by ICP Networks.

It is envisaged the surplus energy, which works even when the sun isn’t shining in Manchester, will be sold back to the national grid.

New clear skylights have been fitted to complete the new look roofline – a transformation that as dramatic as it is discreet.

ICP Networks MD Matt Archer said: “We are hugely excited to see the solar panels installed so quickly and efficiently.

“We do take our commitment to the environment seriously and the new headquarters provides us with a blank canvas, meaning we can consider the green impact of all of our decisions.

“Seeing the incredible solar panel installation is a clear indication of commitment to the environment.

“Now work will begin in earnest transforming the interior to allow us to move in hopefully late Spring, early Summer.”

Workmen have wasted no time in transforming the former empty warehouse into what will be the global headquarters for ICP Networks.

They have removed the old cast iron sprinkler system, replaced fire doors and bricked up the old roller shutters.

The installation of the solar panel system on the roof is the most dramatic change while the walls are insulated, brickwork is erected and new office space created.
