ICP NETWORKS are set to move to a new £1 million global headquarters.
The UK’s fastest growing IT suppliers have outgrown their current Wilmslow base and will move to the new premises in nearby Poynton.
Lexicon House, as the new ICP Networks HQ will be known, was being advertised as available to let but Managing Director Matt Archer recognised it as providing the perfect platform for his expanding business.
This will be ICP Networks third headquarters in ten years as the company grows from strength to strength, supplying a vast array of networking equipment including Cisco switches and Cisco routers to clients around the world.
The new base, currently an empty warehouse, will be 500% bigger than their existing unit providing ICP Networks.
The 16,500 sq ft headquarters will include purpose built warehousing and office space complete with a world class distribution centre and laboratory.
ICP Networks buy and sell brand new networking equipment from manufacturers like Cisco, Avaya, HP and Juniper.
They also buy and sell refurbished equipment and the new facility at Poynton enables ICP Networks highly skilled technicians with state of the art facilities.
ICP Networks Managing Director Matt Archer said: “It’s an important move for us because we are literally bursting at the seems at our current facility.
“We have been a bit of a victim of our own success in a way and we simply need more space as the business expands at a rapid rate.
“The new facility in Poynton gives us fantastic options as we move forward into our second decade. It provides with first class facilities for the here and now and provides plenty of room for expansion moving forward.
“The fact that the building is an empty warehouse provides us with a blank canvas and we can create a building designed around our needs which in itself is unusual.
“We also pride ourselves on being an ‘environmentally friendly’ company and so we can incorporate energy saving schemes and environmentally friendly materials in the new build.”
ICP Networks hope to move into the new headquarters in the summer of 2013.
