ICP Networks have been hailed as a ‘natural fit’ within Cisco’s Circular Economy initiative.

The Cheshire based networking specialists have been recognised for their work in promoting the sustainable values of the Circular Economy together with Cisco over the last five years.

In recognition of their proven track record in sustainability ICP Networks have been selected to offer products directly from the newly launched Cisco Excess Used Product Offering, providing clients with a risk free and supportable alternative to non-authorised secondary market equipment.

Alastair Borissow, Director of Cisco Refresh Strategy and Sales globally, said: “It’s important to us to be working with companies that have demonstrated a commitment to the principles of the Circular Economy and support our desire to ensure our customers recognise the value of sustainability and understand the difference between Cisco-sourced Excess Used Product versus other non-authorised secondary market equipment.

“ICP Networks have demonstrated this commitment and are a natural fit for our Excess Used Product Offering. We are delighted to work with companies like ICP Networks in promoting the sustainability values of the Circular Economy.”ICP Networks are described as a natural fit for Cisco's Circular Economy in new Cisco blog

Circular Economy

Cisco Refresh unveiled the Excess Used Product Offering following a rebrand in the summer of 2015, with the evolved offering specifically leveraging Circular Economy principles.

Matt Archer, ICP Networks’ Managing Director, said: “ICP Networks demonstrate a shared commitment to the principles underpinning the Circular Economy, specifically the re-marketing of some of the Cisco product lines that are available from Cisco under its Excess Used Product Offering.

“ICP Networks demonstrates expertise and experience in the field of asset lifecycle management, as well as a keen awareness of their own environmental responsibilities.

“We specialise in leveraging our unique capabilities to offer a range of used, surplus, end-of-life and discontinued equipment to support our customers’ business requirements.”

Cisco Excess Used Product Offering enables the resell of product inventory that is surplus to current Cisco traditional channel requirements, providing customers with a risk-free and supportable Cisco sourced alternative to non-authorised secondary market equipment.

Lifecycle Solutions

Borissow, added: “Cisco Refresh will continue to evolve and strengthen our commitment to the Circular Economy. The Excess Used Product Offering is an important element to ensure all stages of our product lifecycle solutions are represented and support our customer’s quality expectations for used Cisco equipment.”

ICP Networks have proved that sustainability is part of their DNA when it comes to their commitment to the Circular Economy. As well as a product line that supports that ethos their newly created headquarters in South Manchester emphasises their environmental credentials.

Lexicon House is a multi-award winning building created from the ground up with the environment and sustainability at its heart, generating more than three times the energy required from an expansive 50 kWp solar panel installation and with many other innovative energy-saving qualities.

The building has been dubbed the ‘Greenest IT HQ in Britain’ and received national newspaper coverage as well as being selected by energy giants EON as a Business Case Study and has earned an ‘A’ in Energy Performance by HM government.
