Many of us have been excited to see HP integrate Tipping Point and especially 3Com in to the HP Procurve Networking range. Let’s not forget that a few years back they added Wireless Vendor Colubris to the Procurve range. HP are a serious player in the network now, and it is a welcome addition many think to an arena that needed some real competition and spice. What have they done that is so special and innovative to this marketplace?
Lifetime warranty (for as long as you own the product)! Your joking, right?. I guess not. With a motto of Change the rules of Networking, they are serious. What a relief for clients who want to simplify the rhetoric that comes from many vendors. ( Remember when the customer was always right? ) How does that compare with a 90 day warranty from other major vendors like Cisco. You can do that math yourself, and work out the total cost of ownership is in a different zip code, post code, ball park – you get the point.
With great value out of the gates, and a vast and growing market for used HP Procurve, and refurbished HP procurve units. The end to end ownership and management of these devices in the network are well worth a look!
What is the old saying again, no one ever lost their job buying Xerox. Is it time to insert a new name here _______ ?
