The IT and networking specialists joined thousands of cyclists at the National Velodrome in Manchester for a day of fundraising with Manchester City and left their rivals licking their heels.

ICP Networks Phil Haselgrove led the two-wheeled four man team in the event designed to raise money and awareness for CITC, Manchester City’s City In The Community Foundation.

The event, whilst designed to be a fun event attracted some keen cyclists and it was no mean feat that the ICP Networks managed a staggering 85 laps in their hour-long session with the fastest being recorded at 21.839 seconds!

Velodrome

Phil said: “It was a fantastic event and we were proud to represent ICP Networks at the Velodrome and try to raise funds for CITC.

“We pride ourselves on our rapid delivery at ICP Networks and now there is proof that we don’t just talk about it we do deliver!

“There were more than 200 riders there including former City players and footballing legend Patrick Vieira, though he looked more at home on the football pitch than the boards of the Velodrome!

“Our aim was to have a bit of fun and enjoy the day but as soon as you get onto the track you can’t help but take it seriously and we really went for it – though we never lost sight of why were there and it was a terrific event to be part of. We will put in some training to do even better next year!”

ICP Networks buy and sell new and recycled networking equipment including Cisco routers and switches to clients around the world and pride themselves on their logistics and delivery operation.
