ICP Networks are celebrating a brilliant brace of ISO accreditations.

The Cheshire based IT and Networking resellers are one of the first operators in the UK to be re-accredited to the very latest ISO 2015 versions blazing a trail for competitors.

ICP Networks achieved their ISO 9001:2015 for their Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2015 for their Environmental Management System in just five months.

The Cisco ICP Networks teamed up with Equas, a management company who provide ISO consultancy support to achieve the double achievement.

ISO

ICP Networks MD Matt Archer, explained: “The ICP Networks team values its Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) and the incremental improvements that having such a system embedded in your company’s DNA allows for.

“It is a normal process to re-apply for certification every three years but in addition we have been certified to the newest versions (2015) which most companies have not had an opportunity to do yet.

“We are very proud to be among the first in our industry to earn this.

“Sustainability is at the heart of our company and business model, meeting the new ISO 14001:2015 requirements for its Environmental Management System is especially gratifying for a company like ours.

“ICP Networks works so hard to extend the life-cycle of our clients networks and to sustainably reuse and/or redeploy equipment that has been upgraded is a very key component of the circular economy of which we value so much.

Management Systems

Equas work with organisations like ICP Networks improve its management systems and become more efficient in achieving strategic objectives.

Equas MD Julian Russell, said: “ICP Networks had a well established ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

“However, with both systems, ICP felt they were cumbersome to work with and contained a lot of duplication due to them not being integrated.

“As they were both heavily paper based, they were not very accessible to the employees and they required a reasonable amount of administration resource to keep documentation up to date.

“As ICP Networks needed to upgrade both systems to comply with the new 2015 versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, they decided to engage Equas to help address these issues.

“Over a five-month period, Equas consultant Jane Clayton, worked closely with ICP Networks to create a fully integrated Quality and Environmental Management System that complied with the new 2015 versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.”

“The new system was built using Equas’s Activ software which now in place, significantly reduces the ongoing work required to manage document control, supplier approvals, corrective actions and legal compliance.

“ICP Network’s new system was assessed by their certification body NQA and commended as being a major improvement on their previous system.”
