ICP Networks achievements in promoting Green IT will be recognised this evening at the prestigious national Energy Awards in London.

The Cheshire IT specialists are among the finalists for the influential Excellence in Demand Reduction award.

It will be very much a case of David versus Goliath as ICP Networks battle for top honours with multi-nationals including N Power, Costain Group and Wessex Water for top spot in their category.

But the ICP Networks team are determined to prove themselves to be energy giants after successfully transforming a former warehouse shell into a stunning hi-tech eco-friendly global headquarters, already dubbed the ‘Greenest IT HQ’ in Britain.

Thrilled

“We’re thrilled to be nominated for such a high-profile award,” said ICP Networks MD Matthew Archer.

“The other nominees are all enterprises of significantly larger scale to us, so to even be nominated in such a category at a national level is a massive, massive achievement, of which we’re all very proud.”

This is the second such nomination for ICP Networks this year, with the firm’s new HQ Lexicon House scooping a finalists nomination for LABC Best Large Commercial Building finalists in May.

The line up on that occasion included Manchester Airport new Air Traffic control tower, The Mann Island Project and Waters

Despite the fact that the size of the building projects ranged from 150 – 450 times larger than ICP’s own Lexicon House project the IT specialists were commended for their work and project management of the development.

Energy Awards

The Energy Awards 2014 will be hosted a star student event at the Hilton Hotel in London. ICP Networks have been shortlisted in the Excellence in Demand Reduction category.

The award recognises best practice in achieving energy consumption reductions through energy efficiency and energy savings. Extra credit will be given for before and after data, repeatability and innovation.

The Energy Awards aim to reward the achievements of companies cutting emissions and leading the way in innovative energy use.
